I have been following all of the critical media articles related to the new format of Davis Cup. I posted an article after I returned from the AGM and I warned about the risks of poor player participation because of the date. It’s very sad to see what I predicted now coming true as the Davis Cup is such a great competition. Of course the promise of more money for the ITF is great and Davis Cup needed change but I think the format and date are not positive for tennis. The bottom line is, in my opinion, that what was agreed in Orlando was Too Far, Too Fast!
