I met up with wheelchair tennis legend, Mark Bullock, and his beautiful wife, Samantha, earlier this week for dinner in Wimbledon. I was very fortunate to have Mark in my team at the ITF where he was in charge of wheelchair tennis for over 10 years. He was instrumental in the growth of the sport in so many areas including getting wheelchair tennis singles events into all 4 Grand Slams. He is currently very active as a consultant for disability sports.
Samantha is now a very successful model and was preparing to head out later this month to work at New York Fashion Week.
I had the chance to meet with a number of the top wheelchair tennis players at the Australian Open in Melbourne and I can see that his vision and passion for the sport are sorely missed.
