ITF Champions’ Dinner in Paris

It was great to attend the ITF Champions’ Dinner in Paris last night during Roland Garros. Many champions from 2017 were recognised including singles champions Rafa Nadal and Garbine Muguruza and Martina Hingis who was women’s doubles champion. Great to see so many former champions present including Chris Evert, Ken Rosewall and Yvonne Goolagong, who received the Philippe Chatrier Award during the dinner.

I also saw at the dinner my good friend and former ITF colleague Ivan Molina who is now working with IMG Academy. The World Junior boys and girls Champions were both from IMG. Ivan was travelling tour coach for the ITF for over 30 years, was ranked number 22 in the World as a professional player and was Roland Garros doubles champion in 1975. He has worked with so many high level junior players that have later gone on to be top professional players. I was so lucky to have him as part of my team at the ITF, as he is one of the great people in tennis.
